The Dot.info Team
Geraldfinley.info was the second of three websites to be created by the dot.info team – the photo below shows us on a team outing to Zurich in 2008 (from left to right, Uschi, Janet, Petra, Gwyn, Jane).
It all began in 2005, when Janet and her good friend Jane Garratt decided to create www.simonkeenlyside.info as a source of information about the lyric baritone, Simon Keenlyside. As well as being an outlet to express their love of opera and song, SK.info along with the two subsequent websites, continues to satisfy a need to categorize and understand, which undoubtedly reflects their scientific backgrounds (Janet has a PhD in plant biochemistry, Jane a PhD in physics). They had no idea at the time how popular SK.info was to become, and what a life-changing experience it would be.
Flushed with the success of SK.info, Janet decided in 2007 to create www.geraldfinley.info to gather and collate all available information about the equally lyrical (though lower) baritone, Gerald Finley. Chums from SK.info were also very happy to be involved in that project, and Janet and Jane thank them for all of their help, support and friendship, especially Petra, Uschi and Gwyn. A special thank you is also due to Gerald Finley for being such a good sport.
In 2009 Janet and the other members of the dot.info team embarked on a new adventure, collecting and collating information on top pianist, Julius Drake, and they would like to thank him very much indeed for his support and encouragement.
