The Sony DVD recording was of Penny Woolcock’s 2008 production at the Metropolitan Opera, conducted by Alan Gilbert. Congratulations to all involved, Sasha Cooke, Meredith Arwady, Eric Owens, Thomas Glenn, Richard Paul Fink, and a special tribute to all the scientists on the original Manhattan project who wrestled with their consciences in the most incredible of human endeavours.
